A beautiful French sapphire and diamond bar pin from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this piece?features three gorgeous cabochon sapphires, one at the center and two at either end, of a vibrant gold bar. The center stone is slightly larger than the other two stones and all display incredible royal blue hues within their open back milgrained bezel setting. Resting in between each sapphire, is a delicate vertical raised bar, crafted in white gold, and accented by six sparkling Rose Cut diamonds in a micro-prong setting. The body of the pin has a polished surface and is comprised of five fine open rows of lustrous gold, allowing the background to peek through slightly, with the numbers "42748," hand-etched on the side. Found on the back and along the pin bar are?several?French hallmarks, including an eagle's head, along with the slightly faded word "DEPOSE" stamped on the original hinged clasp. A gorgeous gemstone?piece, it has a wonderful?Edwardian look and would make a special addition to any collection!
