One-of-a-kind hand spun, natural dyed, handwoven scarf. Warp yarn is 100% mulberry silk. Weft yarn is 100% eri hand spun silk. Eri silk is only cultivated in parts of northern Thailand and northern India. Unlike filament silks, eri has short staples and must be spun like cotton resulting in a soft, fluffy wool-like yarn.
Eri yarn produces subtle shades when dyed with botanic dyestuffs and interesting nubbly textures when woven. Because of variations in spinning, dyeing and weaving, no two scarves are exactly the same but each is beautiful.
Unisex look, goes with both casual and dressier attire. Suitable for wear in all seasons, even in summer as light outdoor wrap or for air-conditioned places.
Size: 44cm x 174cm plus fringe Weight: 200-220gms
